Human Physiology

The knowledge of human physiology is mandatory for all yogic neuro therapists. The causes of any disease can be directly linked with the increased or decreased production of particular chemical enzymes or hormones, by a gland. It is therefore imperative that the causes of what needs to be stimulated in order to bring the patient comfort, relief and recovery be fully understood in the prognosis and diagnosis of the illness.

Yogic Asanas

Yogic Asanas enable pressures and can be applied to strategic points, during an exercise routine, that will stop the blood supply to a particular part of the body and divert it to a gland and or nerve area, as well as stimulate the nerve meridians too. Any healthy and able bodied person can perform these exercises independently without requiring any aid. An ill person, suffering from ailments such as arthritis, back pains and spondylities etc however may need help. It is this supportive treatment for yogic asanas that has been developed and modified by Dr. Anil Sharma (Ph. D). The method that is utilized by a trained yogic neuro therapist to perform the asanas on a person needing the treatment, comprises of the patient lying on a thin mattress or on some other similar soft comfortable area where the therapist then applies pressure and massages the relevant areas using either his/her hands or feet. In Yogic Neuro Therapy we see the disease and it's cause(s) according to functions of the body's system i.e. digestive system, respiratory system, circulatory system, endocrine system etc.

Example

There are a number of different types of Arthritis, in order to first bring relief and then cure this it is necessary to determine the type of Arthritis that is affecting the patient. i.e. is it Osteoarthritis, Gouty Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis etc. It is medically accepted that the increase in acid level is the one cause of inflammation and degeneration of the bones and joints. In order to neutralize this acid various organs can be stimulated to produce the necessary counterbalance of alkali from the pancreas, gall bladder and liver. This sets and restores the PH level of the body. According to the type of Arthritis the kidneys can be stimulated to flush out the uric acid, adrenal gland to reduce the inflammation, thymus and para-thyroid to increase the bones density.
